Barak Hussain Obama has won us all one moment in time!So many people came out to be a part of a historic moment,to live it in their lives,to feel the gladness, to share the smiles and joys in their hearts and faces against the harsh weather, distances, odds and ends.Nothing could be the same as reading it,blogging it, watching it or hearing it that sense of community could be only felt by togetherness.
The significance is not just in the pain ,toil, heartbreak you felt for a people ,had you read or watched Roots by Alex Haily or heard Martin Luther King or admired Rosa Parker’s courage and grace who started the Civil Rights movement. It represent the journey of a people who started out from Africa with no rights and the prayers of present Africans to bring change. It is the faith and believe in democracy which has truimphed .The basic tenenth of American history and constitution that all are equal and will be given equal opportunity and a new world is created for all.For anyone who saw or worse face discrimination the unseen way the little way the heart breaks and weeps and life reccoils ,it shows there is light at the end of the day even if its not in your life time. This victory is towards respect for difference and diversity that even if you dont belong to the right color, come from a broken home, questioning your identity, accepting and respecting that you dont stand a chance and still have the intergrity to make people respect and even vote you into becoming their President.

The significance is in that ,it is possible to be different and equal, respected and accepted. That as citizens of a Democracy rights are not an exclusive domain of some but made on differeing claims .To live as a world community we need to be more tolerant and avoid fear, superstition, misinformation and evils that creat discord and distrust.Intrest should not be confused with goodness for self alone but respect for all or the results in degradation of environment or morals are everywhere. The world is a collective responsiblity if we are really globalised.

On January 20th, an African-American family took occupancy of the White House. The President’s father was Kenyan, his mother a Kansan. The First Lady’s great-great-grandfather Jim Robinson worked as a slave on the FriendField Plantation, in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Barack Obama was not elected the 44th President based on the depth of his legislative achievements or on the length of hi public service. His rivals for the democratic nomination or the candidate of the Republican Party were the ”experienced” candidates. Rather, Obama projected an inspiring message, a ”narrative”, of change at a moment when so much in American Life — the economy, the environment, national security, health care — is in a parlous condition.

But at the same time, Sheedis, belonging to the Ethiopian slaves, brough centuries ago, are in plightable condition in Sindh province in Pakistan. Their condition has deteriorated further after the Indian sub-continent was divided into two countrie - India and Pakistan.
